Of course, your little ones are also catered for here: in the children's ski-land your kids can take their first attempts at skiing, and several toboggan slopes with conveyor systems invite you to enjoy carefree snow fun.

And there's also something to visit: Willingen is home to the largest ski jump in the world, where a World Cup ski jumping event is held every year.

About 40 minutes away from the Sonnenpark is the big "FORT FUN Adventure Land", which offers its big and small guests a great variety of attractions and shows.

The Diemelsee, embedded in green meadows and forests, is a true water, hiking, and leisure paradise. You can go sailing, swimming, surfing, or just relax and cast your fishing rod. Divers will find exciting spots and a mysterious underwater world - besides the abundance of fish with pike, zander, perch, carp, and whitefish, there is also a lot to discover in the Diemelsee. A canoe tour on the lake promises a little adventure. If you like it more fast-paced as an experienced canoeist, you can go on the winding natural whitewater course, which has quite a bit of current.

Golf course Brilon: Whether adult or child, the 9-hole tournament course or the 6-hole practice course is suitable for everyone.

Gold mining: Become a gold digger and follow in the footsteps of gold in Waldecker Land. Near Korbach lies the Eisenberg with its old mining tunnels, which is considered to be the richest gold deposit in Germany. Between 35 and 60 tonnes are said to be stored in the region. Gold miners have been trying to extract the coveted precious metal from the Eisenberg since the Middle Ages. They painstakingly drove 20 kilometres of shafts and tunnels into the mountain by hand. Large-scale mining is not worthwhile because the gold content in the rock is too low, but you can feel the gold rush feeling in every corner. Follow in the footsteps of the gold seekers or try your luck as a gold panner.
