For horse lovers, Hartmut and his team offer your kids riding lessons in the Willingen riding centre, which is only only 650 metres away from the Sonnenpark, riding lessons and our all-inclusive taster rides, where your children from the age of 3 can playfully gain their first experience of riding. experience of riding.

Trial riding

On Saturdays and Tuesdays we offer our guests taster rides, which are part of the all-inclusive offer. Due to the large riding area, we have extended the time period to 10:00 to 11:30 am.

Riding lessons

Children from the age of 3 can playfully gain or develop their first experience of riding. Registration is not necessary. Just come along with the Ponytaler, which you will receive on arrival for every taster ride during your stay.

Drinks are provided

The ‘Reiterstübchen’ is located in the riding hall. Refreshing drinks are available there for you. All-inclusive, of course.

Just help yourself to the fridge and relax as you watch your children riding through the large windows above.

GUIDED HORSE RIDING

Here, the focus is on your children and these charming four-legged friends. Sherin, Hartmut and the team offer a personalised experience that combines a child’s first experiences in the saddle with genuine interaction with the animals.

The children always have a wonderful time being led through the large indoor arena.

Guided rides are available from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 and 14:00, except during the taster sessions.

If you would like to ride for longer than 15 minutes, simply book additional time slots one after the other.

Welcome to the Pony Club: Where children’s dreams learn to gallop

At our Pony Club, it’s not just about riding — it’s about the special bond between child and pony. With lots of heart, playfulness and expertise, we gently introduce our youngest guests, from age 3, to horses as trusted companions.

What awaits your kids at the Pony Club:

A warm welcome: We start in a relaxed atmosphere in our cozy little room, giving everyone time to get to know each other.
Horse etiquette & care: Safety comes first! The kids learn the stable rules and spend plenty of time grooming and saddling the ponies. This helps build real trust.
Into the saddle: In the riding arena, we playfully practise balance, rein handling and even take our first brave steps into trotting together.
Stable explorers: After riding, we take care of the animals together — because real riders look after their friends.
The magical Pony Box: To finish, every little rider receives an exciting Pony Box full of puzzles and knowledge about horse language to take home.
